How to Click a Quality Selfie?

These days smart phone users are developing the interest on “Selfie”. Selfie fever is not mere an affliction which has spread among youth but even U.S. President Barack Obama, Vatican’s Pope Francis, and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi are afflicted with it. All the Selfies are popular and have the tendency to find place in News Headlines.

Earlier it wasn’t easy to capture your photo but the introduction of front camera in the smart phone has made it really very easy to capture a Selfie. So I,Anubhav Sachan, am here to give some tips on clicking a good Selfie.

To capture a great photograph of yours the first thing which needs to be best is the Camera. If your camera is not so advanced you can use some of apps for iOS, Windows and Android’s AppStores. More are the Pixels of your camera, quality of image will be more. Camera should have a light sensor, Flash or LED. If these are not available then it’s not possible to click a good Selfie.Love them or hate them, Selfie’s are here to stay.

Oxford Dictionaries named Selfie the Word of the Year 2013. Selfie is defined by Oxford as “a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.”

1. Check your lighting
Pictures in general turn out better when the subject is facing the light. Avoid the creepiness below by taking a selfie in good lighting.

2. Be genuine
If you’re happy, smile! If you’re sad, frown. Whatever you do, don’t pretend to not be looking at the camera when you are clearly aware that you are taking a photo of yourself.

3. Avoid/Don’t Avoid Photobombers
Intentional photobombers can ruin a very cute, bestie Selfie. They can also turn a not so special ‘don’t’ I look good today Selfie’ into a piece of socially shareable magic.

4. Keep your hand still
Avoid the total amateur move of a blurry Selfie. Using the photo timer on your phone is a big help. It removes the accidental blurry image, caused by pressing your camera button too hard.

5. Make it interesting
We’re past the plain Selfie. Get creative! Selfie on the ground, Selfie on a swing, Selfie with a Selfie, give people a reason to click that ‘Like’ button.

6. Get a great front facing camera phone.
A great front facing camera will ensure the best quality selfie. The front facing camera also helps you frame yourself so you avoid the super close up.

7. Above all else, embrace the Selfie.
You didn’t get that new high res camera cell phone for nothing! Don’t be ashamed that you want to get in on the Selfie game.

Sorry Readers I was at New York sometime ago for a short piece of work but i will not disappoint you again.

How QR Code Scanner does works?

Hey! Readers

Now days a craze for QR Code has begun. Every advertisement has a QR Code embedded in it which usually takes you to the link of the product’s demonstration movie on YouTube®. During this thinking and research I got a program ( A basic HTML one) which could generate the QR Code for your  Website , Facebook Fan page , Google+ Profile  or any link you want. You can even make it for a text, address or number.

If you want one contact me on details at the end of post.

Beginning with a Bar Code Reader I’ll be telling the basic funda how it works then we’ll move on to QR Code Reader.

A barcode scanner is composed of three parts: the illuminator, the decoder, and the sensor/convertor. The barcode scanner illuminates the barcode with red light using the illuminator system. The sensor/convertor part of the scanner then detects the reflected light. Once the light is detected, an analog signal is generated. This signal contains varying voltage based on the intensities of the light reflection. The analog signal is converted by the sensor into a digital signal. The digital signal is then interpreted by the decoder. The decoder then sends the information to the computer attached to the scanner.

In the case of QR code scanner, the decoder sends the information to your mobile phone instead of a computer. The app you download for your phone that is a QR code scanner contains the illuminator, which is the red light that runs across the screen when you open the app. The sensor and decoder then work to decode the QR code. Then the decoder sends the information to your phone, and you will be able to see where the QR code was supposed to take you.

The way the scanner reads the reflected light it actually a lot more complicated than the way that I simply described it, but I think it's fascinating that all you have to do is download a free app and all of a sudden your phone is a barcode scanner. The barcode was first patented in 1952, and now almost every person with a smart phone carries around their own barcode scanner with them every day. Since this scanning technology is so easily accessible with most phones, QR codes as a marketing tool seem like they will be around for a while.

Thank You!

How to Bypass the Social Reader Apps in Facebook

Some Facebook stories require you to add the Social Reader app before you can access the underlying story. You can however bypass social reading apps easily in Facebook.

facebook social reader

Some stories appearing in your Facebook newsfeed, like the one shown in the screenshot above, require you to add a “social reader” application to your Facebook profile before you can access the underlying story.
This social-reading “feature” is enabled for quite a few popular sites including Yahoo, The Washington Post, Guardian, Huffington Post, Daily Motion, and many more.
The problem is that once you add the social reader application, Facebook may broadcast your activity on these sites to the newsfeed of your Facebook friends. Do you really want your friends to know what stories your have been reading or watching on the Internet? Facebook calls this “frictionless sharing” but it can be embarrassing sometimes.

How to Bypass the Facebook Social Reader

If you would not like your friends to know what stuff you have watching or reading online, either don’t click on Facebook links that ask you to install the Social Reader app or try these simple workarounds.

Option 1: Look for the Cancel button in the window that prompts you to the add the Social Reader app. When you hit Cancel, Facebook won’t install the app to your profile and you’ll be immediately redirected to the underlying article or video page.

Option 2: Some social reading apps in Facebook – Yahoo for example – do not offer the Cancel option and you have to add the app to read the article. In that case, you can just change the privacy settings of that app from “Friends” to “Only Me” and then hit “Okay, Read Article.” Now you activity won’t be visible to any of your Facebook friends.

Option 3: As someone suggested in the comments, simply copy the story title from the Facebook ticker to the clipboard, paste it into the Google Search box and hit the I’m Feeling Lucky Button. This is how you can also read premium news content on the web.

How to Block Facebook Social Reading Apps

If you have added any of the Social Readers Apps to your Facebook Profile and would like to get rid of them permanently (so that they don’t broadcast stuff without your knowledge), follow these steps.
Go to Facebook Account Settings and open the Apps Settings page (direct link). This will show all the authorized Facebook apps that are associated with your profile. Search for “Social Reader” and hit [x] to remove that app from your profile. Alternatively, click the Edit button next to the app and set the visibility of “Posts on my behalf” to “Only Me.”
There are Chrome extensions that help you read articles on Facebook without adding the Social Reading apps but the downside is that extensions aren’t available for all browsers – especially when you are accessing Facebook on your iPad – and second, they may not support every site that’s enabled for social reading. ↓

How to Create a Facebook App for your Page

This tutorial is all about How to Create a Facebook App for your Page.
Just follow these simple steps to get desired result.

Step 1: Open Google Sites and create a new site. Choose “Blank Slate” for the theme and, under Site Settings,   set the width as 100% so your content occupies the entire width of the Facebook Canvas. Also disable the Header and Sidebar since we don’t want this stuff to appear on our Facebook Page.
Step 2: Compose a new page in Google Sites and add some content to this page using the built-in WYSIWYG editor. If you are an experienced coder / designer, switch to the HTML view and add HTML code directly to your page. You may insert images, maps, videos, spreadsheets, gadgets, tables and everything else just like a regular HTML page.
Step 3: Open the Facebook Developers page at developers.facebook.com and, if this is your first Facebook App, click “Go to App” to add the Developer app to your Facebook Profile. Next click on the button that says “Create a new App” and give your app a name (you can skip the other fields).

Step 4: Expand the “Page Tab” option under Basic Settings and set the URLs for “Page Tab” and “Secure Page Tab” the same as your URL of your Google Site’s page. The Page Tab URL should point to the http version of the Google Sites page while the Secure Page Tab URL should use the https version.
Step 5: You should also upload a 111×74 pixels thumbnail image with your Page Tab as it will show up in the header of your Facebook Page. Use bigger fonts inside the image for better readability. Save the changes and your Facebook App is now ready.
Step 6: Now we need to add this custom Page Tab to our Facebook Page. That’s easy. Copy the App ID of your Facebook App that you just created and replace XZY in the following URL with that App ID. Open the modified URL in your browser and you should see an option to add the app to your Facebook Pages.
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?next=http://facebook.com&app_id=XYZ

That’s it. You can add more apps /tabs to your Facebook Page using the same technique and it is also possible to alter the order of these tabs in the header.

If you ever need to update the content of a Facebook tab, just update the corresponding Google Sites page and your Facebook tab will update automatically because internally, you are just serving the same Google Sites Page to your Facebook Fans.
