In addition to On-page SEO optimization like Meta keywords, Meta description and On-Site SEO (No-index, No-follow) robots.txt sitemap, main trick was to put the website in search engine in few hours.

Submission to Blog networks
Many SEO experts think that submit new site to blog networks and blog directories were the things of past, but it’s not true. It also work today.
You don’t need to submit your site to all new network and blog directories. Instead of this submit your blog only to selected network and directories.
Here I have listed 3-4 Blog directories/network which I suggest to all my readers:-

It is the biggest blog directory in the world. When you submit your site in the Technorati, you not only boosting your website popularity but it also help your site indexed very fast.

This is my favorite blog network drive because it help to drive a lot of traffic and backlink to my blog.

Commenting Comment luv/Do-follow:
This job has to be done within given time frame. I have already added more than 50+ comment on both Do-follow blog and comment luv blog.
This confirmed that Google bots will follow the comment link and land into my blog and that’s what happened.

Social Bookmarking submission:
This is another very effective method. You can take the help of Digg, Delicious etc. social bookmarking sites.

Guest posting:
If you have patience then, prepare 8-15 quality posts and ask from other bloggers within your niche as guest author.
If you are doing it for a client, buy 10-15 articles and do the same. In addition to getting backlink it will help you to drive traffic on your blog.
Try to guest post on popular, high page rank website regularly.

Sitemap Submission:
Sitemap help the search engine to crawl your blog effectively. Make sure that you have created your site sitemap.
Now, submit your website sitemap to popular search engines like Google/Yahoo/Bing etc.

How to Hide your Google Search Queries from other Websites

Google will no longer share your search queries or keywords with other sites as long as you were logged into your Google Account while performing the search

If you type the search phrase on Google and click the first result, you are most likely to be Tracked by Google as a part of their Security Initiative.

When this happens, the following information about your visit gets recorded into my Google Analytics account:
  • That you found the blog through a search engine called Google.
  • That you used the query “The Best within Everything” to find that blog.
This data (also known as referrer information) is important as it helps website owners determine the exact search queries that people are using to discover their site on search engines.
At the same time, as a search consumer, if you are looking for something private on the Internet, you may not always want the other sites to know the search phrases you have used on Google to reach those sites.

Hide your Google Search Terms

Google does not report your search phrases to other sites as long as you were logged into your Google Account while performing the search. The search keywords for Google users who aren’t signed in will still be provided to Google Analytics as before.
You can also hide your Google search terms from other websites but switching the secure version of Google (https). Most websites using Google Analytics to record your visits but you can edit the HOSTS file to block Google Analytics from tracking you.

DuckDuckGo, an alternative to Google, also has a policy of not sharing your search terms with other sites. They had even put an illustrated guide explaining why the earlier Google approach was bad for consumers.

How QR Code Scanner does works?

Hey! Readers

Now days a craze for QR Code has begun. Every advertisement has a QR Code embedded in it which usually takes you to the link of the product’s demonstration movie on YouTube®. During this thinking and research I got a program ( A basic HTML one) which could generate the QR Code for your  Website , Facebook Fan page , Google+ Profile  or any link you want. You can even make it for a text, address or number.

If you want one contact me on details at the end of post.

Beginning with a Bar Code Reader I’ll be telling the basic funda how it works then we’ll move on to QR Code Reader.

A barcode scanner is composed of three parts: the illuminator, the decoder, and the sensor/convertor. The barcode scanner illuminates the barcode with red light using the illuminator system. The sensor/convertor part of the scanner then detects the reflected light. Once the light is detected, an analog signal is generated. This signal contains varying voltage based on the intensities of the light reflection. The analog signal is converted by the sensor into a digital signal. The digital signal is then interpreted by the decoder. The decoder then sends the information to the computer attached to the scanner.

In the case of QR code scanner, the decoder sends the information to your mobile phone instead of a computer. The app you download for your phone that is a QR code scanner contains the illuminator, which is the red light that runs across the screen when you open the app. The sensor and decoder then work to decode the QR code. Then the decoder sends the information to your phone, and you will be able to see where the QR code was supposed to take you.

The way the scanner reads the reflected light it actually a lot more complicated than the way that I simply described it, but I think it's fascinating that all you have to do is download a free app and all of a sudden your phone is a barcode scanner. The barcode was first patented in 1952, and now almost every person with a smart phone carries around their own barcode scanner with them every day. Since this scanning technology is so easily accessible with most phones, QR codes as a marketing tool seem like they will be around for a while.

Thank You!

How to Block Useless Websites from your Google Search Results

Do you see spam or useless websites in your Google search results? Here are some tips to help you permanently block such websites from showing up in your Google results.

Google has been getting better at identifying and removing spam websites from their search results pages but sometimes not-so-useful sites do manage to slip through the Google filters. What can you do to prevent such sites from appearing in your Google results?

Approach #1: Block Sites at the Browser Level
Google offers an easy-to-use Chrome add-on called Personal Blocklist that lets you block entire web domains from showing up in your Google search results. If you spot any irrelevant website in search results pages, just click the block link (screenshot below) and all pages from that website will be hidden from your Google results forever.

The Chrome add-on implements client-side filtering – the blocked websites are still getting served in Google search results as before and the add-on simply hides them on your screen using CSS.

A limitation with this approach is that it works only inside Google Chrome. That is, if you are searching Google inside Firefox or maybe on your mobile phone, the site filters that you have created in Chrome won’t be available to you.

Approach #2: Block Sites per Google Account
Google also offers a web dashboard for manually blocking spam websites, one URL at a time. You can add up to 500 different websites to your blocked list and Google won’t show pages from any of the included sites provided you are signed in with your Google account. That’s the promise but unfortunately, this solution doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Approach #3: Google Search with a Global Filter
If you would like to create a “global  filter”  for your Google search results that works inside all browsers including mobile devices, you can make use of Google’s Custom Search (CSE).
CSE, if you are new, is Google except that it is meant for searching a smaller set of websites and not the entire Internet.
Now here’s a little trick.
You can do a reverse configuration such that Google CSE searches the entire Internet except the websites that you think are useless. Here’s how you can set it up in 2 minutes.

Step #1 (optional): Assuming that you have been blocking websites using the Personal Blocklist add-on in Chrome, click the BlockList icon in your Google Chrome toolbar and choose “Export” to download the list of all sites that you have blocked so far.
Step #2: Click here to create a Custom Search Engine. Give it a name, description and in the “Sites to Search” section, enter all the popular TLDs (like *.com, *.org, etc) one per line.

Step #3: Click Next to save the changes. You’ll have an option to test your CSE. Click Next again and on this screen, click the link that says “Include more sites.” This is where you’ll enter the list of “bad” websites the should be blocked in Google Search Results.

Choose Exclude Sites -> Exclude Sites in Bulk and enter all the domains that should be removed from your Google search results. You can even copy-paste your Chrome Block list here. Save the changes and your “clean” Google search engine is ready.

[*] If you would like your Google search engine to search all known TLDs and not just the popular ones, go to the Manage Search Engine page inside Google CSE and change the “How to search included sites” option from “Search only included sites” to “Search the entire web but emphasize included sites.”

Google CSE results are as relevant as the main Google web search engine and the layout looks good on mobiles and tablets as well. The only manual work you will have to do going forward is to keep the Chrome block list and the CSE exclude list in sync with each other.

Scan QR Codes with the Google Search Widget on Android

You do not need a separate QR code app on your Android phone to scan QR code. Just launch the Google app, switch to the Camera mode and use it to scan QR codes.

I was previously using the Google Goggles app on my Android phone to scan QR codes but turns out that you don’t need a separate QR code reader as the built-in Google Search widget can decode QR codes as well.

To scan a QR code, you need to tap the microphone icon inside the Google Widget and then choose
“Search with Camera” option from the menu available in the lower right corner (see the first screenshot).

Now point your mobile camera to any QR Code, tap the on-screen camera icon (see the next screenshot)
and it will instantly reveal what’s stored in that QR Code. Also, if you scroll the results page, you’ll find Google search results for the text that was decoded from the QR Code.

I have tried this on a Nexus phone running Android 4.2.2 (JellyBean). Google Goggles is also integrated with the Google App for iOS devices.

How to Host your Website on Google for Free

This step-by-step tutorial describes how you can upload and host your HTML website with Google App Engine for free.
The Royal Family of UK has selected Google as the web hosting provider for Prince William’s official wedding website. The site, available at officialroyalwedding2011.org, contains news updates, photo galleries and videos and everything is hosted on Google App Engine.
What’s new here? Web developers have long used Google App Engine to host web apps in the cloud – see Sleeping Time and Tall Tweets for example – but this is probably the first time that Google’s infrastructure is being used to host a ‘static website’ of an event that will get plenty of press attention and web traffic in the coming days.

Host your own website on Google App Engine

There are quite a few advantages with hosting websites on Google App Engine. First, it should be more reliable since your site will get served through Google’s own data centers.
Second, if you have a low traffic website, it is highly likely that you won’t have to spend a penny for web hosting. You get 1 GB of free storage space for hosting your images, HTML web pages and other files and 1 GB of bandwidth per day. If you exceed that quota, you pay-per-use similar to Amazon S3.

Ready to jump?

With a regular web hosting company, you rend some storage space on their server, you then transfer your HTML and other files to that server using FTP or cPanel and your website is ready to serve. Google App Engine works in similar manner except that the file transfer mechanism is a bit different.

Step 1: Go to appengine.google.com and create a new application. If you have never used App Engine before, you might be asked to verify your mobile phone number before you can create a new app.

Step 2: Give your application a name – it should be unique and may only include lowercase alphabets and digits. For this example, our app identifier is “thisismyawesomewebsite”.

Step 3: The next two sub-steps may scare some of you but trust me, they simply require you download and run two installers in the given sequence.
3a. Download and install Python from python.org.
3b. Download and install App Engine SDK from this code.google.com.

Step 4: Download and unzip this file – website.zip – somewhere on your desktop. It contains a basic website with some HTML pages, images and CSS that we’ll try to host with Google App Engine.

Step 5: Open the app.yaml file with notepad and replace the word ‘labnol’ with the application identifier that you created in Step 2 above. Save the changes.

Step 6: Finally it’s time to deploy /upload our website to Google App Engine. Open the Google App Engine Launcher program from the Start Menu, choose File – > Add Existing Application and browse to the folder where you unzipped the website.

Hit the deploy button, input your Google Account credentials and within seconds, your website should become available online at abc.appspot.com where abc is your unique app identifier. Later, if you add or modify any web page, press Deploy again and your new /edited files will get uploaded to App Engine.
