How to Hide your Google Search Queries from other Websites

Google will no longer share your search queries or keywords with other sites as long as you were logged into your Google Account while performing the search

If you type the search phrase on Google and click the first result, you are most likely to be Tracked by Google as a part of their Security Initiative.

When this happens, the following information about your visit gets recorded into my Google Analytics account:

• That you found the blog through a search engine called Google.
• That you used the query “The Best within Everything” to find that blog.

This data (also known as referrer information) is important as it helps website owners determine the exact search queries that people are using to discover their site on search engines.
At the same time, as a search consumer, if you are looking for something private on the Internet, you may not always want the other sites to know the search phrases you have used on Google to reach those sites.

Hide your Google Search Terms

Google does not report your search phrases to other sites as long as you were logged into your Google Account while performing the search. The search keywords for Google users who aren’t signed in will still be provided to Google Analytics as before.
You can also hide your Google search terms from other websites but switching the secure version of Google (https). Most websites using Google Analytics to record your visits but you can edit the HOSTS file to block Google Analytics from tracking you.

DuckDuckGo, an alternative to Google, also has a policy of not sharing your search terms with other sites. They had even put an illustrated guide explaining why the earlier Google approach was bad for consumers.

There are many great features that Chrome brought to Android web browsing—a double-tap-and-slide gesture to zoom in and out on web pages, its fantastic syncing feature which allows you to see tabs and bookmarks from all of your connected devices, and its hidden Chromecast support.  

One tradeoff, however, was that the browser felt a bit slower than its predecessor.  Today we’re here to stifle any complaints about Chrome and get it running at warp speed.

Let’s speed up Google Chrome on Android

Go to Chrome’s Hidden Settings Menu

From Chrome’s address bar, type chrome://flags and hit the enter key on your keyboard. This will take you to a hidden menu with a myriad of advanced settings.

Make the Following Adjustments

Below are six of the things I’ve been using to bring Chrome back up to lightning speed on my Nexus 5. Give them all a try and see if it doesn’t improve your browsing speeds.

• Set “Maximum Tiles…” to 512

This tweak will increase the amount of RAM the browser is allowed to use, and should all but eliminate any stuttering when scrolling webpages. From the three-dot overflow menu at the top right, select Find in page. TypeMaximum Tiles to find the entry we’re looking for here. Tap the drop-down menu directly below this entry and set the value to 512.

• Change the Number of Raster Threads

This setting will increase the rendering speed of images. From the search box up top again, type Number of Raster. On the first highlighted result, tap the drop-down menu and select 4.

• Enable SPDY/4

This setting will make web transactions faster and decrease overall page load times. Type Enable SPDY in the search bar. Tap the link labeled Enable directly under the first highlighted result.

• Enable Offline Cache Mode

This setting will allow Chrome to load cached versions of webpages when they cannot load for whatever reason. In the search bar again, type Enable Offline. Tap the Enable button just below the setting titled Enable Offline Cache Mode.

• Enable Experimental Canvas Features

This final tweak will enable Chrome to utilize opaque canvas’ to increase load times and performance. Type Enable experimental canvas and tap Enable once again.

• Enable Experimental Websocket Implementation

This feature is a new way to handle web traffic communication. After typing Enable Experimental Websocket into the search bar, tap the Enable link below the first result.

Relaunch Chrome

At this point, you’ll notice a box at the bottom of the page that says Your changes will take effect the next time you relaunch Google Chrome. Tap Relaunch Now, and the browser should disappear for a couple of seconds. When it comes back up, you’ll see the chrome://flags page with all of your changes already implemented.

You’re all set up now, so go ahead and close out the chrome://flags tab and commence with the lightning-fast browsing!

Alex MacCaw has created Motivation, a Chrome app that takes a slightly different approach. It replaces the new tab page of your Google Chrome with a real-time counter that displays your incrementing age.
Every time you launch Chrome, or open a new tab in the browser, the extension works as a sobering reminder that the clock is ticking away. That may motivate you to exit the Bermuda productivity triangle and focus on the more important things.

2.Sometime an Android app may be not be available for download in the Google Play store of your region or country.

To get started, enter the web URL of any app listed on the Google Play store and click the “Generated Download Link” button. The APK download app will fetch the APK file from the Google Play store and will host it on its own servers from where you downlaod the file.

Since the APK files are directly fetched from the Google Play Store, it’s unlikely that the Android App will be infected with any malware. Also, to prevent app piracy, the APK downloader only lets you download free apps and games from the Google Play store, not the paid ones.

Here are 10 HTML codes for common punctuation marks that everyone must know for your web writing to look elegant, professional and typographically correct.

The computer keyboard creates “dumb” punctuation marks that may not be acceptable in printed work but are common on web pages. It outputs straight quotation marks (") while your writing may require curly quotes. You can only type hyphens using the keyboard while an em or en dash may have made your text look more elegant and professional.

HTML Codes for Punctuation

Your keyboard lacks the keys for inserting the correct punctuation marks but there are simple HTML character codes, on entities, that you can use to mimic the typography of printed books on the web. Here’s a quick guide to using HTML codes for inserting typographically-correct punctuation marks in web writing.

Hyphens (-)

Hyphens, or half-dashes, are most commonly used to join together two or more words. You can type a hyphen directly without using any HTML codes.

Quotes & Apostrophes (‘ ’ “ ”)

Your computer keyboard creates straight quotes (or dumb quotes) though what you really need to use are smart quotes (or curly quotes) that can be easily written in HTML. The dumb quotes are best used for writing programming code.

Use double quotation marks (“ and ”) to identify the exact words of a person, to indicate irony or for writing titles of creative works.

The last episode of “Friends” was the most-watched program of the year.
    Thoreau said that “that government is the best which governs the least”.
    They recalled the “toy safety” buttons as they were contained lead paint.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR SMART PHONE's BATTERY BACK UP

There are few things more frustrating than watching your smartphone’s battery life drain away by the middle of the day when you just put it in your pocket with a full charge that morning. And as phones get bigger, processors get more powerful, and data networks get faster, the demand for juice is greater than ever.

Luckily there are plenty of things you can do to improve your battery life no matter which phone you carry. These 10 tips should be just the thing you need to help you make it through the day on a single charge.

1. 1.Dial down the brightness or set it to automatic: Few things will drain your battery faster than a super-bright display. You still want to be able to see your phone, but turning down the brightness to the lowest level you can stand should greatly increase your battery life. Or you can set the brightness level to adjust automatically, which allows your phone to dynamically dial up or down on the brightness depending on your surroundings.
2. 2.Stay cool: Believe it or not,higher temperatures will cause your smartphone’s battery to degrade much more dramatically over time than cooler temperatures will. This doesn’t mean you’re automatically doomed to always suffer from poor battery life if you live in Texas, but keeping your phone away from a sunny windowsill or being hotboxed in a stuffy car should increase your battery life considerably.
   
3. 3.Don’t worry about overcharging: Many people (myself included) are still used to nickel-cadmium batteries: the kind that you were supposed to fully charge and discharge lest they lose their ability to retain a charge. But lithium-ion batteries, which you’ll find in most smartphones, don’t work that way. A partial discharge on a Li-on battery is totally fine. In fact, you’re actually better off charging your phone whenever possible rather than letting the battery go all the way down to zero. It’ll actually help preserve your overall battery life over time.
4. 4.Turn off the features you don’t need (Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, LTE): Bluetooth, GPS, LTE and Wi-Fi are all wonderful things, but you don’t need to use them all of the time, and when they aren’t in use they’re killing your battery. Do you only connect to your Bluetooth headset whenever you get in the car? Then turn Bluetooth off for the rest of the day. Going on a road trip with nary a Wi-Fi network in sight? Shut it down. Not going anywhere at the moment? Bye bye GPS. Some phones even allow you to turn your access to LTE on or off. The more your phone searches for a network, the more battery life it uses. So again, if you aren’t using it, lose it.
5. 5.Check for email on your own: Don’t make your phone fetch your email for you. Set your email update schedule to manual and check on it yourself. This way your battery isn’t in constant use as your phone pings the servers every few minutes.
6. 6.Update your phone’s software and apps: If you’ve ever paid attention to the fine print when updating the software on your phone, then you’ve probably seen a line buried in there about improved battery life. The same goes for apps, which are often updated to use less energy. Making sure you’re always up to date is one of the easiest ways to save on battery life.
7. 7.Close out background apps: Use your phone’s multitasking abilities to fully close down the apps  you’re not using. If there are some apps you always use, you can keep those kicking around in the background for faster access, but chances are you have a ton of stuff open that you haven’t used in weeks.
8. 8.Stay out of poor-signal areas (or use Airplane mode)Searching around for a signal in an area where there isn’t any can be a serious drain on battery life. But it’s hard, if not impossible, to avoid areas with poor coverage. What you can do, however, is activate airplane mode as you pass through them, which turns off your phone’s cellular radio (along with Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi). You won’t be able to check your email or make and receive calls, but it’s a good trick if you’re running low on battery and passing through a relative dead zone.
9. 9.Use built-in power management software (or download some): Some phones come preloaded with apps designed to increase your battery life — use them. And if your phone dosen’t come with any battery-saving software, you can always download some. There are plenty of apps out there claiming they can double your phone’s battery life if used properly. I’d take claims like that with a grain of salt, but they probably can’t hurt.
10. 10.Get a battery case: If you’ve tried everything else, and you still can’t make it through the day without stopping to charge your phone at Starbucks, you might want to consider getting a battery case. Battery cases are available for nearly every phone out there and many will double your battery life. Some even promise to triple it. Sure, they add some bulk, but wouldn’t you rather have a bigger lump in your pocket than a dead phone?

Program-Specific Tricks

It started a different culture of computer literacy on yet another elevation. The percentage of computer literates burst-off to 54% of the total world’s population, most of who were initially interested in just using the bright and lively and easy to handle OS.

This culture of computer literacy elevated the NETWORKING culture to its peaks where it presently is. It was hardly any time before the contemporary that the renowned term-CRACKING (breaking in) was in a common expression. And this is what the next gen. windows technology provides- user friendly system root alterations on varied levels. This is how something called the  C.C.C. (Common Computation & Cracking)  came into existence which actually elaborates a commonly expanding practice of more and more people trying to alter system configurations into more customized settings ranging from offline to online customizations. Most of these are however illegitimate, for they harm the  Computing Protocols  at online and offline platforms.

 This is just how and why the usage of cracking software has increased in the recent decade or so. Computer related professions have created demands, from assemblers to developers and programmers. Displaying text near the clock  

Today we will learn how to make text appear near the clock on the taskbar near the quick launch icons. This we’ll do by changing the regeitary values therefore, making no system software modifications.

  

This is HOW IT WORKS…

  

1.Hit  ‘Run’  in the Start Menu and type in  ‘regedit’(without quotes).

2. In the subsequently opening window click HKEY_CURRENT_USER

3. In the elaborated list, click on Control Paneland click International on in the successively elaborated list.

The resultant desired address is HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ International

And this is how we explore to it   HKEY_CURRENT_USER => Control Panel => International 

4. In this step following registry values must be changed-

• s1159
• s2359
• sTimeFormat

i )

Double-click on ‘s1159’ =>

(editable dialogue prompt will appear)change the orignal value i.e. AM to anything that you want should appear after the clock and click OK

Double-click on ‘s2359’ =>

(editable dialogue prompt will appear)change the orignal value i.e. PM to anything that you want should appear after the clock and click OK

NOTE: In the first two changes, the original values can be replaced either be short text or some character. Both may have same or different values.

(editable dialogue prompt will appear) the orignal value may say anything as- h:mm:ss tt/  hh:mm:ss tt/ HH:mm:tt  etc.

Move to the beganning of the value (before the first ‘h’) -->

 write any text/name there-->

hit space bar once-->

insert the character ‘|’(it is alongside the slash ‘\’ on the keyboard)-->

hit space bar once again-->

click on OK.

 

Logos

Presentations can be made a bit creative by adding some small logo-aided text. Character rich logos will be all catchy.

5. Now the changes made require that the explorer must be restarted since the alterations have been incorporated in the explorer directory. There are two ways of doing this- one, you can simply restart the machine; two,you can restart the explorer.

To restart the explorer, open the Task Manager (by  pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete)=>

go to the Processes  tab and eng the process named ‘explorer.exe’=>

move back to the Applications tab and click on New Task and create rather restart the process explorer by typing in ‘explorer.exe’(without quotes), and click on OK.
